MHS XC Wraps Up Season at State Meet

MHS XC wrapped up their season on Saturday at the state meet.  Below are the results from the last 2 meets of the season.

  • Results from the Class 3 District 4 XC Meet
    • BOYS VARSITY – 115 runners – top 4 teams, top 30 individuals qualify for State!
      • Team Place – 2nd (73pts) - top 5 avg. = 18:05 – 4th State Qualifying Team in a row
      • 16 total teams – State Qualifying Teams - (St. Michael-29pts, MHS-73pts, Knob Noster-104pts, Chillicothe-104pts)
      • Dylan Masters – 4 th (17:27.64) *medalist – All-District / Individual State Qualifier
      • Bradley Deering – 7 th (17:34.36) *medalist – All-District / Individual State Qualifier
      • Connor Blackford – 12 th (17:55.16) *medalist – All-District / Individual State Qualifier
      • Colton Berry – 14 th (18:08.77) *medalist – All-District / Individual State Qualifier
      • Grant Smail – 37 th (19:23.5)
      • Dalton McDonough – 63 rd (20:37.63)

      • Team Place – 10th (out of 16 teams) (Maryville – 235pts – top 5 avg. = 17:57)
      • Dylan Masters – 27 th (17:13.3) PR

A few highlights from the season are the following:
  • Boys - 
    • 10th place at State as a team (4th best finish is school history)
    • 2nd place at Districts as a team
    • They currently have 4 runners on their Top 20 All-Time PR list - Connor Blackford (#5), Dylan Masters (#9), Bradley Deering (#10), Colton Berry (#18)
  • Girls - 
    • tied for 2nd at the MEC meet
    • They currently have 3 girls on our Top 20 All-Time PR list - Kathryn Pohren (#7), Ellie Parsons (#11), Meah Schommer (#16)
